Slim Shower Enclosures in Toughened Glass
PALOMA is NUMAEX's framed glass shower enclosure system — five configurations, 3.5 mm walled T6-6063 aluminium profiles, and a hydrophobic glass coating that keeps the surface clear between cleans.
A framed enclosure built around the wet-dry boundary
PALOMA's single job is to keep the wet area wet and the dry area dry. Every decision — panel position, door swing, curb slope — follows from reading those two zones first. The profiles are 3.5 mm walled T6-6063 aluminium: enough wall to hold the glass rigid at full height, not enough to read as heavy.
Doors hang on hinges or pivots at the box pipes. A telescopic flat bar, 11 × 26 mm, sits at the jamb and absorbs out-of-plumb walls and floors — the kind of tolerance that accumulates on every real site. Two silicone seals run the full height of the jamb. A magnetic catch closes the door without a handle pull. In ideal, plumb conditions the enclosure holds 90 to 95 percent of steam inside.
Ceramic grids, fluted panels, hydrophobic coating
Grid patterns in PALOMA are ceramic paint embedded in the glass — no metal grids sit inside the enclosure, so soap and shampoo have no ledge to collect on. Water slides straight down. The grid reads as a designed surface; cleaning it is a single wipe.
Fluted glass is installed curves-outward, smooth face toward the shower. On a T-type layout the curves face the WC side. One rule holds across every configuration: no TACTILE glass inside a shower enclosure — fluted is specified, TACTILE is not. A hydrophobic coating across the outer face keeps the clear glass clear between uses.

Handles, finishes, and the bathroom it sits in
Handles come in a range of sizes, finishes and positions; any handle can double as a towel bar. PALOMA shares its hardware finishes with NUMA illuminated mirrors and TYDIS mirror cabinets, so the enclosure, the mirror and the cabinet can be specified from one material vocabulary rather than three separate catalogues.
Finishes run across matt, metallic and earthy wood tones. For full-height installations, exhaust cut-outs are taken in the glass on request. The door swings outward toward the dry area as standard — the international norm — though inward swing is available where the floor plan requires it.

Where PALOMA is specified
Before you specify
- Which way should the PALOMA door open?
- Outward, toward the dry area — that is the standard. Inward swing is available, but check for obstructions and the position of the shower head before specifying it.
- Can TACTILE textured glass be used inside a PALOMA enclosure?
- No. Fluted glass is available and installed curves-outward; TACTILE kiln-formed glass is not specified for shower enclosures.
- How does the telescopic adjustment work?
- An 11 × 26 mm flat bar at the jamb absorbs out-of-plumb walls and floors. No site is perfectly square; the telescopic bar takes up the tolerance without shimming or rework.
- Do the PALOMA hardware finishes coordinate with NUMA mirrors and TYDIS cabinets?
- Yes. PALOMA, NUMA and TYDIS share a hardware finish vocabulary, so the enclosure, the illuminated mirror and the mirror cabinet can all be specified from the same palette.
