PALOMA is NUMAEX's framed glass shower enclosure system — box-pipe aluminium profiles at 38 × 38 mm, two silicon seals along the jamb, and a magnetic close that holds the door without a latch.
A framed enclosure built around two seals and a magnetic close
PALOMA separates the wet area from the dry area. That is its single job. The frame is 38 × 38 mm box-pipe aluminium — the same profile at every jamb, head and sill — and the door hangs on concealed hinges or pivots at those box pipes rather than on a separate post.
Two high-quality silicone rubber seals run the full length of each jamb. In plumb conditions, that arrangement holds 90 to 95 percent of water and steam inside the enclosure. A magnetic close keeps the door shut without a latch. A telescopic flat bar, 11 × 26 mm, absorbs whatever tolerance the site introduces — walls that are not quite plumb, floors that are not quite level — so the frame closes true regardless.
Ceramic paint in the glass, not metal inside the frame
Grid patterns on PALOMA are ceramic paint embedded directly into the glass during production. There is no metal grid inside the enclosure, so soap, shampoo and condensation have no ledge to collect on. Water runs straight down. The surface reads as a designed grid; cleaning it is the same as cleaning plain glass.
Fluted glass is available and is installed with the curves facing outward and the smooth face towards the shower — so the texture reads from the dry side and the interior stays easy to rinse. One rule applies across all configurations: TACTILE kiln-formed glass is not installed in shower enclosures. Fluted glass is the correct choice where texture is wanted.
A hydrophobic coating is applied to the glass face as standard, reducing water mark build-up between cleans. Where a full-length enclosure requires ventilation, cut-outs in the glass are available on request.

Handle position, finish, and size are all variable
PALOMA handles come in a range of sizes, finishes and positions. The handle can be specified to double as a towel bar, which removes one fitting from the dry area without reducing function. Hardware finishes align with NUMA illuminated mirrors and TYDIS mirror cabinets, so a complete bathroom can be drawn from a single material palette.
Enclosures are made to project specification — height, width and configuration all follow the measured drawing rather than a catalogue size. The standard range covers 180° Inline, L-Type, C-Type, Fixed screens and Openable swing-door formats, framed or frameless, to suit every bathroom plan.

Where PALOMA is specified
Before you specify
- Which way should the PALOMA door open?
- Ideally outward, towards the dry area — this is the international norm and keeps the door clear of the shower head. Inward swing is possible; check for obstructions and shower-head position before specifying.
- Can TACTILE glass be used inside a PALOMA enclosure?
- No. TACTILE kiln-formed glass is not installed in shower enclosures. Fluted glass — installed with the curves facing outward and the smooth face towards the shower — is the correct choice where texture is wanted.
- How steam-tight is a framed PALOMA enclosure?
- In ideal, plumb conditions, two silicone rubber seals along the jamb retain 90 to 95 percent of water and steam. The telescopic flat bar ensures the frame closes true even where walls or floors are not perfectly plumb.
